DIAL : Polychrome enamel dial, depicting a shepherdess and musician in a pastoral scene. In very good condition, with just a couple of light hairlines on the edge between 6 and 7. Nice gold or gilt hands.

INNER CASE : Silver gilt, with silver hallmarks for London, 1781, maker's mark IB. In good condition throughout, with just a couple of light bruises and wear to the gilding on the stem and bow (brass). The hinge is fine and the bezel closes well. The high dome crystal is also fine.

OUTER CASE : Gilt brass. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. There is some wear to the gilding on the rims and centre of the back, and a small split on the bezel, at the catch. But in generally good condition.

Richard Baker is recorded in Tamworth between 1784 and 1795.
